2012 NRHA European Affiliate Championship: Day No. 2 - the NRHA shows
Jennifer Nixdorf & Whizoom win Rookie Champion
Another big success for the 7-year-old stallion Whizoom: after winning the Intermediate Open with Alessia Vincenzi in the saddle (144), the Topsail Whiz-son proved his class again the next day - this time in the rookie with his owner Jennifer Nixdorf. The two had a fine run earning plus points in the . spins and the first and last stop. They left the arena with a score of 142.5 winning this class in a field of 43 riders. Nikolaus Selinger (AUT) and Obsidian Jac placed second scoring a 140. It was not the first success of Jennifer and Whizoom, who had NRHA LTE of more than $ 27,000 before the show and was e.g. NRHA European Futurity Champion Ltd. Open. In 2011, Jennifer, who trains with Rudi Kronsteiner now, won the Youth with this horse at the EquitaLyon in France and also placed well in the Non Pro Trophy. At the IRHA-NRHA Derby they placed 5th in Novice Horse Non Pro Lev.2.
Limited Non Pro claimed by Alissa Leloux and Wimpys Short Step BB
Alissa Leloux (NED) and Wimpys Short Step BB did it again: after winning the NRHA SBH 5 & under Non Pro, the two also placed first in Limited Non Pro in a field of 19. Wimpys Short Step BB earned plus points in the second spin and the stops, scoring a total of 143.5. The success of Alissa and her horse were even more remarkable as this was the fifth time she rode Wimpys Short Step BB as she said. Alissa who trains with Cira Baeck, was 2011 NRHA European Champion Youth 14-18. Christian Thon (AUT) aboard Glowhiz in Hollywood and Gilles Huyghe (BEL) aboard Docs Lil Gun (owner Tom Huyghe) tied for second place scoring a 141.
Anne Grether & Lil USS Peppy win Limited Open
The Limited Open was won by Anne Grether (NED) aboard Lil USS Peppy (Lil Ruf Peppy x USS Enterprise). The two scored a 211.5 earning plus points on their left spin and the second circle for owner Dr. Paul Van Hooft. Lil USS Peppy was shown very successfully last year by Miriam Gensicke who rode this horse to the NRHA European Champion Limited Open 2011.
With only half a point behind, Barbara Hengge (AUT) and Falkorima placed second (211). The horse is owned by Andreas Lukner who also bred the SBH 5 & under Open winner Jacs Smart Freckles.
